We arrived and where seated right away and as soon as you walk in the door you notice the fantastic desserts they offer to just remind you of the wonderfulness that you can enjoy after your meal. We got to our table and ordered our drinks and some soups to start off the meal, when coming to Aladdin’s be ready to eat because there is so much you’ll want to try. Now the normally speedy and quality service was not the same this time since after we got our drinks our server disappeared for a few minutes then came back and we ordered some appetizers and that would be the last time we saw her for some time. Finally Sasha flagged down another server to get us some refills and ask for our server. When she returned we asked about the hold up on our soups and appetizers and she said the kitchen was backed up and we all agree things happen but if she would have been at our table filling our drinks and keeping us posted we would have not been so annoyed. A great server can make a kitchen issue seem almost nonexistent…..she was not that server. Finally after what seemed like forever our soups arrived and our appetizers. Now in true Aladdin’s fashion the food was wonderful! My Chicken Chili soup was not to spicy and the chicken had a really well marinated taste. We also got some other appetizers that I am not going to even pretend like I know how to spell but needless to say they also pleased us! Falafel’s was one of them and as I said they where delicious. Then our server showed up to tell us they had run out of white rice and asked Keith what else he wanted and well anyone who knows my boyfriend knows he’s a little picky about food so the white rice was pretty much all he wanted as a side. Then however out came our food and my plate was piled with white rice! I did the nice thing and shared and we both agreed it was very well seasoned and very tasty! I got the Aladdin’s Favorite meal and Keith got the Lamb and as for the others I am not sure but all our feelings where the same that the food made up for the bad service!
I now decided to take home a piece of cake and mind you after several minutes of trying to decide from all the delectable choices I choose the peanut butter iced white and chocolate checkered cake. Also topped with Reese cups and wow it was AMAZING! The cake alone would have gotten Aladdin’s a two on my rating system!
I suggest Aladdin’s to everyone, even if you are a picky eater you will find something you like. Hopefully you all do not have the same service we did but like I said the food will make up for the bad service. So I will have to give this trip to Aladdin’s a Four on the Nina scale and just because of the service but all other trips have gotten a five so I highly suggest you give it a try!
