I have posted a few of my daily e-mails from Joel Osteen on here already but I decided to save them through out the week and post them all at once. I really like Joel Osteen's way of teaching people the bible and I know many think because he asks for money or is on TV he is a fraud but I really think his special way of preaching has given many more people the Faith they lost or never had. So I hope you enjoy his messages to me as much I enjoy getting them every morning!
Anxious for Nothing
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God”(Philippians 4:6, NASB).
TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria
So many people today are living uptight, worried and anxious about the future, filled with frustration and concern. In the natural there may be good reason, but understand, that is not God’s best. God doesn’t want us to live in anxiety and frustration; He wants us to live in peace. You can find rest in Him knowing that no matter what is happening around you, God Almighty has His hand on you. The next time you’re tempted to worry or be anxious about something, remember this verse. God invites us to come to Him. In fact, the Bible says He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. But notice, we can’t just come to Him any old way. He wants us to come to Him with a heart of gratitude and thanksgiving. Begin by simply saying, “Father in heaven, thank You for the privilege to come before You. Thank You for hearing my prayers.” As you come to Him with an open and humble heart, He will hear you and fill you with His peace and joy all the days of your life.
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, today I choose to be anxious for nothing. I choose to set aside my worries and concerns. I thank You for Your faithfulness to meet every need in my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Inexpressible and Glorious Joy
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy”(I Peter 1:8, NIV).
TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria
Do you need more joy in your life? This verse tells us that when we choose to believe in God, we are filled with His joy. And not just any kind of joy—inexpressible and glorious joy! Have you ever seen someone filled with inexpressible joy over something? Their face is beaming, their heart is pounding. They can hardly contain themselves. They are so excited they can’t think of anything else. They have so much confidence over what they know that nothing can take away their joy. As believers, that’s how we should be. We should be confident in the goodness of God and filled with His inexpressible and glorious joy!I encourage you today to be bold and believe God. Get to know Him better by knowing His Word. Hold His promises close to your heart so that you can be filled with His confidence and joy all the days of your life.
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your joy unspeakable and full of glory. I choose to believe You and trust in Your goodness. I invite you to search my heart and remove anything that would keep me from all You have in store. In Jesus’ Name. Amen
Delight In Him
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
“Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart” (Psalm 37:4, AMP).
TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria
Do you know what it means to delight yourself in the Lord? One of the definitions of this word in the original Hebrew means: to be soft or pliable. In other words, when we allow God to shape and mold our character, we are delighting ourselves in Him. The scripture tells us that God is the potter and we are His clay. The potter can’t work with hard, dry clay; He has to use soft, moldable clay. We are the ones who decide if we will allow God to work with us or not. We decide if we are going to be soft and pliable or if we are going to allow the world to make us hard and dry. How do we stay soft and moldable? By simply immersing ourselves in the water of God’s Word. Friend, when you and I make God’s Word a priority in our lives, we are setting ourselves up to be used by God. We are delighting in Him. We are yielding to Him, and we are opening the door for Him to give us the desires and secret petitions of our hearts!.
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father in heaven, today I come to You giving You all that I am. I am committed to Your Word and I invite You to work in my life. Make me more like You and may everything I do be pleasing to You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
He Works All Things Together
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them” (Romans 8:28, NLT).
TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria
Everyone goes through things that don’t seem to make sense. It’s easy to get discouraged and wonder, “Why did this happen to me?” “Why did this person treat me wrong?” “Why did I get laid off?” But we have to understand, even though life is not always fair, God is fair. And He promises to work all things together for good for those who love Him. I believe the key word is this verse is “together.” In other words, you can’t just isolate one part of your life and say, “Well, this is not good.” “It’s not good that I got laid off.” “It’s not good that my relationship didn’t work out.” Yes, that’s true, but that’s just one part of your life. God can see the big picture. That disappointment is not the end. Remember, when one door closes, God has another door for you to walk through—a better door. Those difficulties and challenges are merely stepping stones toward your brighter future. Be encouraged today because God has a plan for you to rise higher. He has a plan for you to come out stronger. He has a plan to work all things together for your good so that you can move forward in the victory He has prepared for you!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, thank You for working all things together for my good. I choose to release any doubt, any frustration, any confusion over my past, and I choose to trust in You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
He Will Answer
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
“I will answer them before they even call to Me…” (Isaiah 65:24, NLT).
TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria
Have you ever thought about something you wanted or needed, and suddenly, that need was supplied—before you ever even stopped to pray about it? God knows your needs before you even speak them. He wants to provide for you and answer the very desires of your heart. When you put Him first in everything you do, when you faithfully follow His commands, He’ll pour out an extra portion of His goodness and favor upon you.Don’t ever think God is too busy to answer your prayers. Don’t ever think your needs are too small or that you don’t matter. He cares about everything that concerns you, and He loves to hear you call upon His name. You are very special to God, and He promises to answer in His timing, and sometimes, before you even call. Stand in faith knowing that God wants to shower you with His abundant blessings today.
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father in heaven, thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. Reveal Your good plan for me and teach me to trust in You as I surrender to You every area of life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Make the Most of Life
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
“Please don’t squander one bit of this marvelous life God has given us” (II Chronicles 6:1, Message).
TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria
So many people today are living below their God-given potential. They’ve put their dreams on hold because of disappointments or setbacks. But God doesn’t want us to spend a single moment living in regret or condemnation. He doesn’t want us to settle for mediocrity, He wants us to make the most out of every moment of our lives. He promises to make all things new. He promises to restore everything the enemy has stolen from us. We are the ones who have to make the decision to let go of the past so we can make the most of today. We have to choose to keep moving forward one step at a time. When you choose to walk in forgiveness, you are making the most of your life. When you reach out to help others, you are making the most of your life. When you give of your time, talent, and resources to build the kingdom of God, you are making the most of your life. Choose today to let go of the past so you can embrace every opportunity the Lord has in store for your future!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, thank You for the precious gift of today. Help me to be a blessing to others so I can make the most of every moment. I bless You and thank You for the good plan You have for me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Don't Give Away Your Power
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
“And don’t sin by letting anger control you. Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry” (Ephesians 4:26, NLT).
TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria
Do you realize how much energy it takes to be bitter or hold a grudge? We only have a certain amount of energy for each day. If we use it for the wrong purposes, focused on the negative, dwelling on who hurt us, we’re not going to have the energy we need for the right purposes. We’re not going to make the best decisions. We’re not going to be as creative. We’re not only doing ourselves a disservice, but we’re doing our family and our friends a disservice. Remember, you can’t control what people do or say. You can only control yourself. If you’re allowing others to upset you, then you are giving away your power. The Scripture says, “Don’t let the sun go down on your anger.” The reason many people have no joy or enthusiasm is because they go to bed every night with anger and unforgiveness. When you go to bed like that, with a cluttered mind, focused on the negative, you wake up with the same negative emotions. Don’t let anger and unforgiveness block God’s blessing in your life. Choose to let those things go so you can live in the peace, joy, and power the Lord has for you.
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, today I am releasing every negative thing that has happened to me. I’m forgiving every person who has hurt me. I’m forgiving myself for mistakes I’ve made and releasing every disappointment so that I can live in Your peace and victory. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Set Your Mind
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
“Now set your mind and heart to seek (inquire of and require as your vital necessity) the Lord your God” (I Chronicles 22:19, AMP).
TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria
Have you “set your mind” today? In other words, when you woke up this morning, did you make the decision to focus on good things and to follow God with all your heart? If we don’t set our minds, if we don’t purposely focus our thoughts and energy, then chances are, we’ll be bombarded by the cares of life. We’ll be tossed back and forth by every situation we encounter. We’ll be distracted by every phone call, upset by the traffic, offended by what someone said, and we’ll get off the course God intended. We’ve all heard it said that the best defense is a good offense. When you proactively set your thoughts, you are putting yourself on the offense. You are taking charge of your life. You are being an on-purpose person. You’re redeeming the time. Make the decision today to set your mind on things above. Set your mind on God’s eternal purposes so that you can stand in the victory He has for you.
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, today I set my mind on You. I choose to seek You with my whole heart. Thank You for strengthening me with Your peace and joy today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Redeem the Time
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
“So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days” (Ephesians 5:15-16, NLT).
TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria
Time is the most valuable commodity in life that we have. It’s more valuable than money. You can make more money, but you can’t make more time. When you woke up this morning, God gave you a present called “today.” And with that gift comes a responsibility. The Scripture tells us to redeem the time, to make the most of every opportunity. That simply means don’t let it go to waste. Don’t live this day unfocused, unhappy, negative, or defeated. Make the most of every day. God has entrusted you with His life. He has breathed His very breath into you. He has put gifts and talents on the inside of you. You have seeds of greatness deposited in you. You’re a person of destiny, and you have an assignment and a purpose to fulfill.I encourage you today to evaluate how you are spending your time. Refocus your life. Let go of any distractions. Shake off any self-pity, any discouragement, any disappointments of the past and run your race with purpose. Be careful how you live and redeem the time so that you can fulfill the destiny He has prepared for you.
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father in heaven, thank You for the gift of today. I dedicate this day to You. I dedicate my mind, will, and emotions to You. Use me this day for Your purposes and keep me on the path You have for me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Where the Spirit Is
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (emancipation from bondage, freedom)” (II Corinthians 3:17, AMP).
TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria
When you make Jesus the Lord of your of life, something supernatural takes place on the inside of you. The Spirit of God actually makes His home in your heart. And the Bible tells us that where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom! When you allow that truth to sink into your mind and heart, when you get into agreement with God and begin to declare that you are free, then you will see that freedom manifest in every area of your life. God will begin to turn around situations that you’ve been praying about for years. He’ll restore relationships that you thought were impossible. He’ll bring health and wholeness back into your body. Those dreams, those promises that are on the inside of you, they may look too big, but God will set you free to pursue those dreams. He’ll set you up to overcome every obstacle. He’ll empower you to defeat every enemy so that you can move forward in freedom and victory in every area of your life!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Spirit that lives inside me and gives me life. Help me to know You and Your power so that I can live in the freedom You have for me. In Jesus’ Name.
Free From Bondage
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
“…I will free you from their bondage and I will rescue you with an outstretched arm…” (Exodus 6:6, AMP).
TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria
No matter what’s going on in your life, no matter how somebody is treating you, God has a plan to free you from everything that would try to hold you back. He wants to rescue you and show you His mighty hand of favor and blessing. One translation says “with special and vigorous action.” What does that mean? That means, if you will stay in faith even in the difficult times, God is going to show up with explosive blessings. He is going to bring supernatural turnaround, supernatural breakthroughs, supernatural promotion, and supernatural deliverance. God is saying, “I’m going to free you from the bondage of poverty and lack. I’m going to free you from the burden of depression and discouragement. I’m going to free you from every addiction, every bad habit.” You don’t have to live in bondage to anything any longer! God’s arm of deliverance is outstretched toward you. He is setting you free from every bondage so that you can live the life of victory He has in store for you!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father in heaven, thank You for delivering me from every fear, every concern, every obstacle, every form of bondage. I declare today that no weapon formed against me shall prosper because You are my deliverer. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
He Holds You in His Hand
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
“Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you…I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand…”(Isaiah 41:10, AMP)
TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria
Is there something in your life that feels beyond your control? If you’re tempted to get discouraged, remember, as a believer, God is holding you in the palm of His hand. There is nothing too difficult, nothing too impossible, nothing beyond His ability. When God holds you in His hand, you are safe. You are cared for. In His hand, there is victory. In His hand, there is strength. In His hand, there is provision. In His hand is everything you need. No matter what you may be going through today, you can trust that God is for you. Instead of getting down and depressed over your circumstances, look up and get a vision of God turning that situation around. Get a vision of His favor, promotion, and increase in your life. As you stand in faith, you’ll see those supernatural breaks that will launch you further ahead than you ever thought possible! Remember, He holds you in His victorious right hand!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father in heaven, thank You for helping me and holding me in Your victorious right hand. I choose to trust You even when things don’t make sense, even when things seem beyond my control. I release my cares to You knowing that You work all things together for my good. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
His Call Remains
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
“For God’s gifts and His call can never be withdrawn” (Romans 11:29, NLT).
TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria
What is the vision that you have for your future? Maybe at one time you were excited about your life—you had big goals, big dreams, but you went through some disappointments or life didn’t turn out the way you planned and now you’ve just settled where you are. But understand, God’s plan for your life didn’t go away just because you had some disappointments, setbacks, or because somebody treated you unfairly. God didn’t write you off just because you made some poor decisions. No, He knew every mistake you’d ever make; He knew every person who would wrong you, and He still called you. He still designed a perfect plan for your life. No matter what’s happened in your past, God’s plan for your good remains. He still has a bright future in store for you. If you will get your hopes back and get your vision in line with God’s Word, then the rest of your life will be the best of your life! Keep standing, keep believing, and get a vision for your future because the Lord has an amazing future in store for you!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me. Thank you for calling me and giving my life purpose. I choose to shake off the past; I choose to forgive those who have hurt me, and I choose to keep my eyes on You, knowing that You will complete the good work You started in my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
His Hand is Outstretched
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
“For the Lord of hosts has purposed, and who can annul it? And His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back” (Isaiah 14:27, AMP).
TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria
As believers, you and I have an advantage. We don’t have to go through life just depending on our own talent, our own ability, our own strength. The Scripture talks about how God’s hand is outstretched toward His people. That means there is a supernatural power behind every believer. God’s outstretched hand will help you accomplish dreams that you thought were impossible. His outstretched hand will cause you to get well even when the medical report says there is no way. The outstretched hand of God will help us to prosper even when the economy is down. Let this sink down into your heart today. All through the day, imagine God’s hand outstretched toward you. It is a hand of healing, a hand of favor, a hand of restoration. No matter what you may be facing, you have to realize there is a force for you that is greater than any force that will ever be against you. You’re attitude should be, “I am not settling where I am. I know I have an advantage. As a child of the Most High, I know God’s hand is outstretched toward me.”
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father in heaven, thank You for Your outstretched hand of protection and provision for me. I choose to lay aside every fear and every concern knowing that You will make a way for me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
